Ear Piercing in Hinduism

This technique is there in almost each civilization. Now a days i see many boys specially wearing a ear ring on one ea,.but there is reason behind it...

After a baby is born, it is a general practice by the Ancient Indians to pierce the baby( both boys or girls) ears. Actually, it is a part of acupuncture treatment. Acupuncture and Acupressure is not new to Indians.

Even it is said that these techniques originated in India and later they were conserved and modified by Chinese.

Outer part of ears carry a lot of important acupuncture and acupressure points. The point where the ears of a baby are pierced is known for curing asthma. That is why even ancient indians both men and women used to wear ear-rings.

The holes in their ears become invisible after as they grow up. Only Indian females wear ear-rings as a tradition. But there are men in some parts of india who wear earrings as a tradition till now.

Almost Everything in the indian culture and traditions are purely based on science..For some things we know the reasons... For some we don't know...People are there who says simply these traditions are some stupid beliefs...But for the fact those people don't know the real reason and science behind those...

Behind the ear lobe there is a natural, small microscopic depression which contains nerve endings linked with diseases like bronchial asthma, cough and tuberculosis. The Chinese science of acupuncture states that the root cause of some diseases lies in the subtle regions of every organ in the body. When that area is punctured, the disease is eliminated. The study of this science was done and recorded in the Hindu scriptures much earlier and the sanskar of piercing the ear lobes was already prescribed

Why Hindus Break Coconuts in Temples

Breaking a coconut in Hindu temples – especially in temples dedicated to Lord Ganesha - and before auspicious events and new beginning is considered highly beneficial in Hinduism. The offering of a coconut is a common offering to a deity in Hindu religion and it is distributed later as ‘prasad.’

The most important reason for offering coconut is that is the purest thing that a human being can offer to a deity. The water and the white kernel inside the coconut are the only unadulterated offering that a devotee makes to the Lord. It is not polluted as it remains covered by the hard outer shell until it is offered to the God.

Lord Ganesh is the deity invoked before any auspicious event or new beginning. Coconut is one of the most favorite foods of Ganesha. This is one reason why coconut is broken during housewarming, after the purchase of new vehicle etc.

Next, the breaking of coconut symbolizes the breaking of the ego. The coconut represents the human body and before the Lord it is shattered – breaking the ‘aham’ or ego and symbolically total surrendering and merging with the Brahman – supreme soul.

Bhishma

Bhishma was step brother of King Vichitravira of the kingdom Hastinapur. He was assigned the duty of selecting bride for his brother. At the same time there was “Swayamvar” ceremony was going on at the Kaashi. The king of Kaashi had 3 daughters-Amba,Ambica and Ambalika. Bhishma went to Kaashi. He abducted the 3 sisters to Hastinapur to marry his brother. But amongst the three sisters, Amba already liked the king Salva. So she refused to marry King Vichitravira. As a result Bhishma send her back to King Salva. But King Salva refused at once to marry Amba. This was a highly embarrassing moment for her. She returned back to Bhishma for justice and demanded to accept her as his wife. But Bheeshma had already taken the oath for remaining bachelor for the whole life. Amba could not bear this insult. She cursed him that in the next birth she would be the cause of his death. She was re-born as Shikhandi the son of Drupada. In the battle of Kurukshetra, Shikhandi was mode of Bhishma's death otherwise Bhishma was invincible. So, insult of a woman proved costly to Bhishma.

A clean copper plate is put in an earthenware vessel. It is covered first by copper sulfate and then moist sawdust. After that put a mercury-amalgamated-zinc sheet on top of an energy known by the twin name of Mitra-Varuna. Water will be split by this current into Pranavayu and Udanavayu. A chain of one hundred jars is used to give a very strong electricity.

Mitra is cathode , Varuna is anode , Pranavayu is oxygen, Udanavayu is hydrogen, Ghritachi is earthen ceramic beaker, Shata Kumbh is 100 cells in series to convert chemical energy to electrical energy, Apsara is water tight vessel..

अगस्त्य संहिता शिल्प सूत्र – From Agastya Samhita, Shilpa Sutra (theory of architecture) – This verse gives following information

1. energy is produced by this particular assembly of chemicals and wire, that energy is of dual nature.
2. water can be split using that energy.
3. upon splitting of water, 2 gasses are produced
4. the energy can be amplified if the cells are assembled in series.
5. There exists a material OR a fabric which is airtight and which can be harnessed to build a structure which won’t allow air to escape
6. Udaan vaayu, which is produced after splitting water, can be trapped in such air-tight assembly.
7. Udaan vaayu is light and self-buoyant
8. the self-buoyancy of Udaan vaayu can be harnessed to build a structure which is capable of flying in air.

Why Mitra-Vauna?

Mitra-Varun are twin deities like Ashwinikumar.. They always exist in pair, like Dyava-Prithvi… The energy which is generated from above mentioned assembly exists in pair and cannot exist individually.
This refers to positive and negative terminals of cell and charges of electric field. One cannot exist without another, they have to exist in pair, just like Mitra-varuna..It is an example of analytical and deductive nature of human brain in

Ancient Vedic technologists produced six kinds of electricity, viz:

1. Tadit—the one produced by friction from leather or silk,
2. Saudamini—that produced by friction from gems or glass,
3. Vidyut—produced from clouds or steam,
4. Shatakoti alias Shatakumbhi—that produced from a battery of hundreds of cells,
5. Hradini—that obtained from storage cells,
6. Ashani—the one emanating from a magnetic rod.

Golden veneer jewellery electroplated from Silver, was in common use-- in the ancient days. Indian Vimanas had accumulator batteries.

Ayurveda and Shankhas

This shell has great significance in Ayurveda. If water is stored in the shell it absorbs amazing medicinal properties capable of curing several physical defects.

(i) Store some water overnight in the shell and the next morning rub the water on your skin. This cures all skin problems.

(ii) Store water in the shell for 12 hours. Then rub it on white spots on the skin. Do this regularly. After some days the white spots shall disappear and healthy skin shall reappear.

(iii) At night fill the shell with water and in the morning add some rose water to it. Then wash your hair with the mixture. This shall keep the hair black and healthy. The hair of the eyebrows and the beard too could be turned black thus.

(iv) If you suffer from stomach related problems or if there is a laceration in the intestines, then early in the morning drink a spoonful of water kept in the shell for 12 hours. This will cure the problem.

(v) Mix water kept in the shell for 12 hours in ordinary water and early in the morning wash your eyes with it. Doing this regularly for some time will cure all eye related problems. The eyes would become perfectly healthy and one might not even need to wear spectacles in the future.

(vi) If after a bath in the morning the shell is rubbed gently on the skin of one’s face, wrinkles would start slowly disappearing and the face will gain a new glow by regular use of this process.

(vii) If you have dark circles under your eyes rub the shell gently on those spots early in the morning. This will gradually make the spots disappear.

Shankha Bhasma is an Ayurvedic medicine prepared from Conch shell. It is used in Ayurvedic treatment of gastritis, abdominal pain, malabsorption syndrome etc.

Shankha Bhasma Uses:

• It is coolant, improves skin color and complexion.
• It is useful in the treatment of gastritis, abdominal colic, malabsorption syndrome, dyspepsia, vomiting, nausea, acne, etc.

Ayurveda and Garbha sanskar (Prenatal Education)

The Indian History of Prenatal education:

The story of Abhimanyu is well known in the Mahabharata. Abhimanyu, the son of Arjuna, learned how to enter the Chakravyuha (the strategic arrangement of warriors to entrap and defeat the enemy) when he was in his mother's womb. Abhimanyu had heard and remembered the narration of the technique.

Ancient Indian medicine has recognized the need for the mental, spiritual and physical preparation of the mother-to-be for the momentous event of childbirth. Ayurveda describes this theory as "Supraja janan" or eu-maternity This "Supraja janan", as conceptualised in Ayurveda, involves the preparation of the couple planning pregnancy, three months prior to conception. Pregnancy should be by choice, and not by chance. The beginning is by pinda shuddhi or the purification of the gametes (sperm and ovum). If the couple is not in a state of mental stability and calmness, even if they are physically fit, they cannot give birth to a healthy child. This mental calmness and stability ("Sathwa Guna") of mind is closely related to ones food habits and many other factors. Abstinence from spicy foods and addictive substances is advised.

It is now universally proven that the fetus is not just a mindless mass of flesh, but a highly responsive and evolving human being, capable of receiving, understanding and responding to external stimuli. It, therefore, follows that the fetus has a right to receive positive and enriching feedback or garbha sanskar.

Ayurveda prescribe a particular daily practice for the pregnant woman. Along with the prescription for diet, Yoga and routine body care, instructions are also given for reading material, subjects of discussion, and music and mantras to be listened to.

Development of parent-fetus bonding :

The techniques involve meditation, auto suggestion, self-hypnosis, and visualization (including the highly-effective white light visualization and benevolence beaming technique), establishing a dialogue with the fetus.
The main requirement to transmit 'good values' is to establish communication with the baby in the womb. Thoughts and feelings of the parents affect the baby. Even before the thought is expressed, it remains in an unexpressed form in the mind. At that time, its wavelength is the shortest and its energy is at the maximum level. Intentional, directed, selfless, unspoken thoughts lead to maximum sanskar on the fetus.

Effect of Music:

It is also proved that fetus also responds to the music. From 7 Th month fetus can hear the sounds from mothers womb and from the surroundings of mother and also responds to them. Sound of mother's heartbeats is the first and nearest sound heard by the fetus and hence when the mother takes her crying child close to her the child stops crying and becomes calm. It is possible to give energy for the development of body mind and sole of the child in the womb by listening to special music.

The sound of the veena (Indian string instrument which is held by the Goddess Saraswati), flute and Samaveda mantras gives health to the pregnant woman and the child within.

Lifestyle of of the mother-to-be :

It is unadvisable for the pregnant woman to watch the films depicting scenes of horrer, murder, and violence. It can produce negative effect on the child's character in future. During pregnancy she should keep company only with people who have a favorable influence over her. She should read fine literature, look at the beautiful works of art, listen to soft music, contemplate pleasant landscapes and have only positive and constructive thoughts.

Herbal Medication:

Two herbal Ghees (Medicated ghee - Base is Cow's ghee) are recommended in the 4th, 5th, 7th, 8th and 9th months of pregnancy. This ghee is to be taken every day during this period and the dose is one tablespoon. This treatment is widely practiced southern states of India especially in Kerala. The herbal preparation 'Kalyanak Ghrita' is used in the 4th & 5th months. It is supposed to be effective in the development of mental faculties of the growing fetus. It also helps in the development of all bodily systems in the foetal baby. More over it prevents congenital abnormalities. This ghee prevents anemia in mother. 'Thanka sree Ghrut' is used in the last months of pregnancy. This aids the complete developments in the foetal life and can bring good fortunes to the child. This ghee also helps to a full term normal delivery.

Aryabhatta and The Origin of Zero

Aryabhatta (476-550 A.D.), one of the world’s greatest mathematician-astronomer, was born in Patliputra in Magadha, modern Patna in Bihar. Many are of the view that he was born in the south of India especially Kerala and lived in Magadha at the time of the Gupta rulers. However, there exists no documentation to ascertain his exact birthplace. Whatever this origin, it cannot be argued that he lived in Patliputra where he wrote his famous treatise the "Aryabhatta-siddhanta" but more famously the "Aryabhatiya", the only work to have survived.

The mathematical part of the Aryabhatiya covers arithmetic, algebra, plane trigonometry and spherical trigonometry. It also contains continued fractions, quadratic equations, sums of power series and a table of sines. This work is the first we are aware of which examines integer solutions to equations of the form by = ax + c and by = ax - c, where a, b, c are integers. Aryabhatta was an author of at least three astronomical texts and wrote some free stanzas as well.

He wrote that if 4 is added to 100 and then multiplied by 8 then added to 62,000 then divided by 20,000 the answer will be equal to the circumference of a circle of diameter twenty thousand. This calculates to 3.1416 close to the actual value Pi (3.14159).

But his greatest contribution has to be ZERO, for which he became immortal. He certainly did not use the symbol, but the French mathematician Georges Ifrah argues that knowledge of zero was implicit in Aryabhata's place-value system as a place holder for the powers of ten with null coefficients. The supposition is based on the following two facts: first, the invention of his alphabetical counting system would have been impossible without zero or the place-value system; secondly, he carries out calculations on square and cubic roots which are impossible if the numbers in question are not written according to the place-value system and zero.

He already knew that the earth spins on its axis, the earth moves round the sun and the moon rotates round the earth. He talks about the position of the planets in relation to its movement around the sun. He refers to the light of the planets and the moon as reflection from the sun. Aryabhatta gives the radius of the planetary orbits in terms of the radius of the Earth/Sun orbit as essentially their periods of rotation around the Sun. He believes that the Moon and planets shine by reflected sunlight, incredibly he believes that the orbits of the planets are ellipses. He correctly explains the causes of eclipses of the Sun and the Moon.

This remarkable man was a genius and continues to baffle many mathematicians of today. His works was then later adopted by the Greeks and then the Arabs.

Bhaskara I who wrote a commentary on the Aryabhatiya about 100 years later wrote of Aryabhatta:-
"Aryabhatta is the master who, after reaching the furthest shores and plumbing the inmost depths of the sea of ultimate knowledge of mathematics, kinematics and spherics, handed over the three sciences to the learned world."

Animal Sacrifice in Hinduism

HINDUS AND VEDIC FOLLOWERS DO NOT PRACTICE ANIMAL SACRIFICE

Sometimes people who are confused or misinformed think that Hindus or followers of Vedic culture practice the sacrifice of animals to the deities or in rituals. However, this is completely wrong, even though some people who are misinformed or misguided, nonetheless, feel animal sacrifice is necessary.

In the Mahabharata (Shanti Parva), it is said: Knaves and rascals initiated the offering of liquor, fish, animals, and human sacrifice in a yajna. They had a demonical temperament and desired to eat meat in a yajna. In the Vedas eating of flesh has not been recommended.

To please Bhairav, Bhawani and other gods and goddesses, some Hindus who were greedy for meat began offering animal sacrifices. During Mughal rule, meat eating became popular. It is said that some greedy priests wrote certain shlokas (verses) that claimed the goddess desired animal sacrifice, and the flesh would be served as prasada, the mercy of the deity. These shlokas were mischievously included in some religious texts. All Vedic religious texts forbid the eating of meat and consider it food for demons. No authentic religious text permits meat eating, unless it has been foolishly tampered with. If gods and goddesses were greedy for meat, they would motivate one into savage acts rather than towards compassion. Would they then have been different from demons? Killing innocent animals in the name of religion and offering them to gods and goddesses to fulfill selfish desires cannot be justified in any way. With such sinful acts one cannot expect to be blessed with prosperity, good fortune or happiness. Such sacrifices do not please any god or goddess. If one does find happiness sometimes, it is temporary. Bad deeds only ensure sorrow and hell.

In the Shrimad-Bhagavatam, Vedavyas says that whoever offers animal sacrifice and prays to demons and evil spirits will be worse than animals. Hell is certain. In the end, such people roam about in the utter darkness of ignorance and sorrow. It also explains that those animal sacrifices meant for Kali are not accepted by Kali, but she lets her ghostly assistants partake of such offerings. Thus, anything taken as remnants or prasada from such offerings are but remnants from those ghostly beings and not Kali or any demigoddess.

It is also sometimes suggested that the Vedas explain that there should be ajbali in the yajnas or sacrificial rituals. Aj is interpreted to mean a goat and bali means sacrifice. But the correct interpretation is that a seed is also known as aj. Aj denotes cereals. Therefore, the Vedas direct us to use cereals. Killing of animals is forbidden in a yajna and is irreligious. This is why ghee and sesame and grains are used in offerings of any authentic Vedic ritual. However, in the temples of Lord Krishna, wonderful vegetable preparations, cooked with devotion in a sacred environment, and are offered to the deity and then distributed as prasada.

Agnihotra Part 2

Can Agnihotra prevent the effect of nuclear radiation?

Introduction :

In many articles on the Internet, the ritual of Agnihotra has been promoted as a simple ritual that helps to minimise the adverse impact of nuclear radiation. The statement peaked our interest, because for modern science this is a fantastic proposition: that a simple ritual done at sunrise and sunset along with the recitation of a mantra can actually quell the harmful effects of nuclear fallout. This ritual also becomes especially relevant with some other information we have received through spiritual research about the coming times.

Most people do not know that there are measures that can be taken at a spiritual level, along with efforts at a psychological and physical level to defend oneself against a nuclear attack. This article expands on the measures we can take at a spiritual level to protect ourselves from the effects of a nuclear attack and for the prevention of it occurring.

Protection from a nuclear attack on a person performing Agnihotra :

Nuclear explosions produce both immediate and delayed destructive effects.

Immediate effects (blast, thermal radiation, prompt ionizing radiation) are produced and cause significant destruction within seconds or minutes of a nuclear detonation.

The delayed effects (radioactive fallout and other possible environmental effects) inflict damage over an extended period ranging from hours to centuries, and can cause adverse effects in locations very distant from the site of the detonation.

Damage caused by nuclear explosions can vary greatly depending on the weapon’s yield (measured in kilotons or megatons), the type of nuclear fuel used, the design of the device, whether it is exploded in the air or on Earth’s surface, the geography surrounding the target, and whether it is winter or summer, hazy or clear, night or day, windy or calm. Whatever the factors, though, the explosion will release several distinct forms of energy as given in the immediate and delayed effects above.

The following picture shows the predicted effect of a 1 megaton nuclear bomb exploding and the distance of the impact of the various forms of energy. It also shows the level of destruction/level of protection that would be experienced in case of a person at the 50% spiritual level practicing Agnihotra regularly.

Let us now look a little more closely at each of these energy types and the level of protection that the ritual of Agnihotra can provide. (Source: Spiritual research conducted by SSRF)

>> The Blast: Much of the damage (approx 50%) inflicted by a nuclear explosion is the result of its shock wave. The blast wave pressure deposits energy in the material it passes through, including air. When the blast wave passes through solid material, the energy left behind causes damage.

Level of protection within the blast radius gained by a person who performs Agnihotra : 0%

>> The Thermal Radiation: Along with the blast approximately 30-50% of the energy of the destruction is due to thermal radiation. Even if one is many miles away from the blast, one is able to view a bright flash created by the exploding bomb. In addition to being intensely bright, this radiation is intensely hot (hence the name “thermal”). At 7 km away from the source of the blast one will experience third degree burns. Third degree burns cause tissue death all the way through the skin, including the stem cells required to regenerate skin tissue. A third degree burn over 25% of the body (or more) will typically precipitate shock in minutes that would require prompt medical attention.

Level of protection gained by a person who performs Agnihotra within the thermal radiation radius : 30%

> >The Ionizing Radiation: A nuclear detonation creates several forms of nuclear or ionizing radiation. The nuclear fission (atom splitting) and nuclear fusion (atom combining) that occur to produce the explosion release, either directly or indirectly, neutrons, gamma rays, beta particles, and alpha particles. (In the case of a 1 megaton explosion the effect of ionizing radiation (measured at 500 rems) is estimated to be 3.1 km from ground zero.)

> Neutrons are heavy particles that are released from atoms’ nuclei. These tiny “missiles” can easily penetrate solid objects.

> Another penetrating form of radiation is gamma rays, which are energetic photons. Both of these types of radiation can be deadly.

> Beta and alpha particles are less dangerous, having ranges of several meters and several centimetres, respectively.

> Alpha particles can cause harm only if they are ingested.

Level of protection within the radius of ionization radiation gained by a person who performs Agnihotra : 0%

>> Fallout: One of the effects of nuclear weapons detonated on or near the Earth’s surface is the resulting radioactive fallout. Immediately after the detonation, a great deal of earth and debris, made radioactive by the blast, is carried high into the atmosphere forming a mushroom cloud. The material drifts downwind and gradually falls back to earth, contaminating thousands of square miles. The larger the explosion, the higher and faster the fallout is lofted, and the smaller the proportion that is deposited in the lower atmosphere. This fallout can continue to impact residents in the area and far off areas for many years.

Level of protection within fallout radius gained by a person who performs Agnihotra : 50%

Spiritual research showing the mechanism behind Agnihotra :

All of the events that happen on Earth are because the basic building blocks of creation are utilised. These basic building blocks are the five Absolute Cosmic Elements. It is only through one or more of these elements, that any event in the Universe is possible. The Absolute Cosmic element that is predominant in the case of a nuclear device being detonated, is the Absolute Fire Element (Tej Tattva).

When a nuclear device is detonated, it gives rise to raja-tama predominant vibrations of the Absolute Cosmic Fire element. Discordant subtle sounds accompany these frequencies. These subtle sounds have a subtle harmful effect on the mind and intellect of the people in the vicinity of the nuclear attack. It can range from depression, to negative thoughts, to fogging up of the intellect.

When the ritual of Agnihotra is performed, it gives rise to sattva predominant vibrations of the Absolute Cosmic Fire element. The fire created from Agnihotra disintegrates the raja-tama particles and therefore purifies the environment at a spiritual level. It also creates a subtle protective sheath around the person performing the ritual. This sheath is highly sensitive to anything related to the Absolute Cosmic Fire element and from the subtle dimension this sheath looks reddish.

The raja-tama predominant Absolute Cosmic Fire particles (emanating from a nuclear device detonating) strike in a very harsh and callous manner. The protective sheath intuitively knows in advance when they are coming near it and as a reflex action it sends the Absolute Cosmic Fire frequencies from within it towards the raja-tama predominant particles with tremendous force. This destroys the raja-tama predominant Absolute Cosmic Fire particles which give rise to the sound frequencies. As a result, the destructive Absolute Cosmic Fire from the detonated nuclear device loses its power.

What decides the effectiveness of the Agnihotra ritual during a nuclear holocaust ?

Spiritual level:

The spiritual level of a person is the most important aspect.

In the case of a nuclear bomb explosion, in practical terms, only a person above the 50% spiritual level is able to access any substantial protection by performing the ritual of Agnihotra. The benefit reduces as the spiritual level of the person performing the ritual decreases. A person of average spiritual level (20-30%) will gain negligible protection benefit from performing the ritual Agnihotra.

As the spiritual level becomes more, the need for performing the ritual becomes less as the spiritual level becomes the key criteria for protection of the person.

In the case of Saints they would get a thought to move away from the area before the bomb explodes.

Importance of spiritual practice: The only way to increase one’s spiritual level is by doing spiritual practice that adheres to the six basic principles of spiritual practice. By undertaking the right type of spiritual practice, it is possible for a person to make rapid growth in one lifetime.

Attitude while performing the ritual:

When one does a ritual with the attitude of spiritual emotion and devotion, the effect and benefit from the ritual is multiplied.

The effect is even greater when one performs the ritual in the spiritual state of surrender to God.

On average, only seekers above the spiritual level of 50% have the spiritual capability to perform the ritual with spiritual emotion.

Person performing versus the person observing the ritual:

The person performing the ritual gets more benefit from the ritual as opposed to a person observing the ritual. The ritual is mainly for an individual’s protection. However, if the person observing the ritual does so with the attitude that he himself is performing the ritual with the appropriate level of spiritual emotion, then he too will gain the same benefit and protection.

Role of spiritual practice and spiritual level in protection against a nuclear attack :

The major events that happen in a person’s life are primarily due to their destiny as per the law of karma. The best way to overcome adverse destiny (which is a spiritual problem) is by doing spiritual practice.

By doing appropriate levels of spiritual practice, one can overcome destiny. For example, of one has medium destiny, then only an intense amount of spiritual practice (of around 10-12 hours a day) only can overcome it. If one however has severe destiny, only the grace of a Saint can help in overcoming the destiny.

Even if one, as per their destiny, has to die in the coming times then, due to their spiritual practice at least a negative impression of fear is not created in the seeker's mind as they go to the afterlife. For a person not doing any form of spiritual practice, suffering and then dying after a weapon of mass destruction is detonated, scars their sub-conscious mind with impressions of fear which may sometimes take lifetimes to overcome.

Summary :

Spiritual level of the person performing the ritual of Agnihotra is a key aspect in deciding its potency. This shows how great is our Vedic Culture And Tradition and rituals..

Agnihotra Part 1

Introduction :

The world is a very different place from the one our grandparents or for that matter our parents were born in. Perhaps one of the main changes is that the world is fraught with increasing pollution rates that have resulted in increased greenhouse gas emissions and other detrimental environmental impacts. When we speak of pollution, we generally think of the usual types of pollution such as air pollution, water pollution, sound pollution, food pollution and earth pollution. However, in our article on the increasing rate of Natural Disasters and Climate change, we have stated that the human race’s effect on nature, resulting in weird weather patterns, is not just limited to their negligence at a physical level but is also due to mental and spiritual pollution they unleash into the environment.

Mental pollution is generated from the negative thoughts of people such as greed, deceit, hatred, scheming for destruction, etc. As this mental pollution propagates through the environment, it conditions the spaces we live in, to help generate further negative thoughts in our mind. This creates a negative vortex or chain reaction and, at its root, is the spiritual pollution of Raja-Tama that has increased in the human race. With the technological advancements in biological and nuclear weapons of mass destruction, coupled with the increased Raja-Tama in humankind and mental pollution, we have yet another threat facing us. The repercussions of a biological or nuclear attack will be devastating on human life and the stability of our world order.

What is Agnihotra?

While the world scurries to find a solution to curb physical pollution, a simple ritual mentioned in the sacred Atharvaveda (11:7:9) and described in detail in the Yajurveda Samhita and the Shatapatha Brahmana (12:4:1) is believed to reduce pollution and spiritually purify the atmosphere. People who perform this ritual say that it reduces stress, leads to greater clarity of thought, improves overall health, gives one increased energy, and makes the mind more loving in nature. It is believed to be great aid to drug and alcohol de-addiction. Agnihotra is also known to nourish plant life and neutralise harmful radiation and pathogenic bacteria. It can be used to purify water resources. It is also known to reduce the ill-effects of nuclear radiation.

Spiritual research on the ritual of Agnihotra :

The Spiritual Science Research Foundation conducted spiritual research on the ritual of Agnihotra. This research complements the knowledge already available on the Internet with regards to the benefits and scope of Agnihotra. My following parts provide further information on the spiritual research conducted.

What Is Sanatana Dharmam?

Hinduism is not a religion. It is actually hindutva and is the Sanatana Dharma. Very few people know this fact and even 99% hindus don't know about this.

Sanatana Dharma is the true and original name of Hinduism. So, what is the meaning of Sanatana Dharma? Sanatana means that which cannot be destroyed by fire, water, air, weapons and is present in all living and non living being. The nearest apt English word for Sanatana is ‘Eternal.’ Now for Dharma, there is no apt English word. The nearest explanation for dharma is duty, responsibility of an individual or code of life or law or the way of living. Roughly, Sanathana Dharma means the ‘Eternal Law.’

The words ‘Hindu’ and ‘Hinduism’ is a later incorrect designation. The above meaning of Sanatana can be found in the Bhagavad Gita. It must be noted here that none of the major scriptures of Sanatana Dharma mentions the term ‘Hindu’ or ‘Hinduism.’ We will never find the term ‘Hindu’ or ‘Hinduism’ in Bhagavad Gita or other important scriptures.

God according to Sanatana Dharma:

It is monotheistic and believes in only one god allows us and given us a choice to believe in god in any form we like. And according to it God exists either in the form of Matter or in the form of Energy. That is the reason why we have to respect every thing present in this entire universe. Because we do not exist without the existence of this matter and energy.

That is why hindus are taught to respect each other and everything in the form of matter that exist in this universe. They have created some forms (Swaroopas) to the invisible energy without which we do not exist.
And those forms are Vishnu, Siva or shankara and Shakthi.

Rigveda also said the same thing. It resembles the Matter-Energy equivalence explained by Albert Einstein. This might be because of the fact that he studies Vedas.

There are many more things according to Sanatana Dharma and i will update you all of them very soon.

Thanks to the early Muslim traders and invaders and the imperial Britishers, even many Hindus have forgotten the name Sanatana Dharmam.

Akhand Bharat (अखंड भारत्) – This is the united and undevided India once we have and now it become an irredentist call to reunite Pakistan and Bangladesh with India to form an "Undivided India" as it is existed before the Delhi sultans, Mughals, British Raj (1858–1947) and prior to the Partition of India in 1947 and the Independence of Bangladesh in 1971.

Very few people know the fact that the actual Akhand bharat extends from Persia, present day Iran to lands including Burma, Java, Cambodia, Bali, and the former Champa and Funan polities of present-day Vietnam.

We have lost almost 80% of our land what we have once. It is to mention here that before 2000 years, no one knows the present day Abrahamic religions like Islam, Christianity etc. All that existed at that time is only hindutva, the sanantana dharmam (सनातन धर्म).

This is clearly evident from our conustructions in those countries. You can see a few of them here.

1. The 9th century Shivaistic temple of Prambanan in Central Java near Yogyakarta, the largest Hindu temple in Indonesia.

2. Angkor Wat in Cambodia is one of the largest Hindu/Buddhist temples in the world.

3. Ruins of Ayutthaya in Thailand which was named after Ayodhya.

4. A statue of Hindu goddess Durga Mahisasuramardini in Prambanan northern cella, dated from 9th century Medang i Bhumi Mataram kingdom in Central Java.

5. A golden statuette of the Hindu-Buddhist mythical beings Kinnari found in an archeological dig in Esperanza, Agusan del Sur, The Philippines.

6. Atashgah of Baku, a natural fire temple in Azerbajian used by both Hindus and Zoroastrians.

7. A statue of Hindu deity Murugan at the Batu Caves in Malaysia.

Friends we have got stupendous knowledge of science in our Sruthi literatures i.e. Vedas, Upanishads, Aranyakas, Brahmanas. They have stolen by the Islamic people and Britishers. It is clearly evident from the fact that many scientific inventions of those western countries are mentioned in our Sruthi literature before the time they have invented. They are actually the inventions of our ancestors and not theirs.

For example, Pythogaras theorem is actually invented as Baudhayana Theorem, by Baudhāyana which is commonly known to have discovered by the Greek mathematician, Pythagoras. Baudhāyana listed Pythagoras theorem in his book called Baudhāyana Śulbasûtra (800 BCE).

So come and join in our struggle to reunite and reform Akhand bharat, to save our Sanantana Dharmam, to save our texts. Let your friends and relatives to know about this website.

Aditya Hridayam and Surya Bhagawan (The Sun God)

Rishi Agastya is one of the greatest Seven Sages or Saptarshis of the Vedas and has been mentioned in several Puranic epics in various Sanskrit literatures. His name in sanskrit is Agasti : A-ga means a mountain, Asti, thrower and is also a name of Lord Shiva. He is considered as the first and foremost Siddha (sage) and the guru of many other Siddhas. AgastyaMuni is known to have made several contributions to the field of Medicine and Astrology in ancient Vedic India and was well versed in weaponry and martial arts. In the Mahabharata Adiparva, Chapter 139, verse 9, Guru Drona mentions to Arjuna that even his Guru Agnivesha was a disciple of AgastyaMuni when learning to master celestial weapons described in the DhanurVeda, the science of mastering powerful Divine weapons. He has composed several powerful Vedic mantras and shlokams which are still chanted by devout Hindus even today. Regarded as the patron saint of much of South India, it was AgastyaMuni who first brought and popularized the Vedic religion to South India. Agastya and his progeny are also credited to have composed parts of the Rig Veda, the earliest and most revered Hindu scripture.

One such Vedic mantra known as Aditya Hridayam is a very powerful mantra associated with Aditya or Surya the Sun God, the illustrious Deva of all victories, composed by AgastyaMuni and recited to Lord Rama on the battlefield before he was set to fight the mighty Ravana King of Lanka. The word 'Hridaya' means that which is especially nourishing and healing for the heart or heart of Aditya. The word heart or Hridayam refers to the One (ayam) who is shining or dwelling in the heart (hridi). Aditya is derived from “ad” meaning “to enjoy” or to perceive all sense objects like sound, touch, form, taste and smell, after entering the heart. So by the Heart of Aditya is meant the inner and unchanging witness of all thoughts, words and deeds, whose nature is the all-pervading Light of Consciousness. By the repetition of this holy Mantra daily, one attains imperishableness, the highest good, all blissfulness, the end of all sins, troubles and sorrows, and a long life.

The Aditya Hridayam begins with the war between Lord Rama and King Ravana. The Rishi teaches Lord Rama, who seems perplexed as well as worried at the time, how to recite this mysterious ancient Vedic mantra and describes the procedure of invoking the Cosmic strength of Suryanarayan Deva the illustrious Sun God in order to vanquish any forms of negative forces that may surround him in order to achieve victory over the enemies on the battlefield. Lord Rama was advised to chant this sacred mantra thrice and through the power and energy of this mantra, he was able to vanquish Ravana on the battlefield. Though the 31 verses of this mysterious mantra appear in the Yuddha Kaanda of the epic Ramayana, the author, Rishi Valmiki himself says that it is older than the epic itself.

This seems very similar to when Shri Krishna imparted spiritual knowledge to Arjuna on the Kurukshetra battlefield, only that here, Agastya Muni limited the goal of invoking Aditya also known as Lord Surya, who is believed to have originated long before creation. Surya Deva created the two worlds as self effulgent and in Hindu philosophy, He is the Lord of the astral plane. He is supreme to all the three Cosmic worlds. He is the repository of intelligence. Every thing in this world is dependant upon Surya Deva where the entire Creation of life is His. Self illuminating, possessing electricity, he is the Vedas, truth, and all yajnas performed by Rishis, it is believed the three worlds have originated from Lord Surya since all inanimate as well as animate beings depend upon his energy to thrive on Earth without any difficulty. Without His cosmic energy it would be extremely difficult for any living being to survive. Thus one should worship the rising Sun of divine rays who is hailed as the brilliant Lord of the universe by all devas and asuras, by all man and gods. Hindus believe the Sun God is Universal.

One can understand the importance of Sun worship during the ancient times and apart from the Vedic Hindus, several other ancient civilisations such as the Egyptians, Greeks, Romans, Incas, etc borrowed this form of worship from Vedic India. These pagan civilisations understood the importance of the Solar energy of the Sun which sustained life on our planet for millions of years.

Lord Rama himself was taught the Aditya Hridaya Stotram by the great sage Agastya at a critical moment. After fighting with Ravana and being severely worried, Shri Rama became anxious on the battlefield. It is then that Sage Agastya appeared to him and recited to Him the sacred stotram through which all foes are conquered, not only the external foes but the internal as well. It is human nature to get worried or anxious and our constant internal foes that are passion, anger and greed are knwon to be caused by delusion and ignorance which often tend to delude us.

Aditya Hridayam contains the innovative verses with many secrets and ancient mystical meanings and compares the state of consciousness within Man with that of the Cosmic energy of Surya which is believed to be the same. Absolute consciousness is being understood only with the help of speech. These mystic words are interwoven in the Aditya Hridaya shlokas.

According to the 107th verse of Valmiki Ramayana:

''Approaching Rama standing absorbed in fight in the battle-field, exhausted as he was by the fight, and seeing Ravana who came nearby, facing him duly prepared for the battle, the glorious sage, Agastya, who had come together with the Devas, to perceive the battle, then spoke as follows: "O Rama, the mighty armed! Hear the following eternal secret, by which you can conquer all the enemies in battle, my child! Worship Surya the sun-god, the ruler of the worlds, who is crowned with the rays, who appears at the horizon, who is greeted by the Devas and the Asuras alike, shines forth; covering up all other lights and brings light to the world. He is the embodiment of all Devas, full of glory and the reflector of rays. He protects the multitude of Devas and Asuras as well as their worlds by his rays."

Benefits of Reciting Aditya Hridayam

Hinduism is in fact a spiritual science containing a vast system for maintaining Mind, Body and Soul, through various Sanskrit literatures composed by the ancient Rishis such as Agastya Muni, where all aspects of Nature are held sacred. The Vedas describe the several benefits of reciting the Aditya Hridayam and mention in detail the advantages of Sun Worship for curing all diseases. Surya Deva is worshipped as the one who gives us 'Tejas' or Light, not just through the powerful Cosmic rays, but also a healthy Mind as well as body. It is also believed that the Sun has seven colours embedded within its rays, found in the rainbows: Orange, red, yellow, green, blue, indigo, violet and are described as the seven horses of Surya Deva. These Cosmic rays are highly beneficial to people suffering from various ailments, skin problems, lack of vitamin D in the body, vitamin C deficiency as well as a lack of energy. By offering water while facing towards the Sun early in the morning, the various colours of the cosmic rays deflected through the water from the Sun, are known to benefit our health and well being. Reciting this mantra while facing the Sun therefore is believed to energise and vitalise us physically as well as mentally, enabling us to face strongly any challenges that our hectic lives may throw at us, in the very same way as Lord Rama was able to when facing the challenge of destroying the powerful Ravana, King of Lanka.
